Mumbai, 20th September 2021: Actor Sonu Sood always made headlines for his continued help to the needy during the Corona pandemic. But recent income tax department’s raid on him shocked everyone.
The department had raided six hideouts of Sood and claimed that he had evaded tax worth Rs 20 crore. Sood has taken a stand against these allegations through social media.
The income tax department had raided six locations including Mumbai, Nagpur, Jaipur in connection with the alleged tax evasion case against Sonu Sood. the income tax department said that apart from violation of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), tax evasion worth Rs 20 crore has been revealed by Sonu Sood and his associates so far.
Sonu Sood shared a long post on social media and wrote in the caption: ‘ Even in tough times, it seems to be an easy journey, the prayers of every Hindustani have an impact.’ further in his post, Sonu writes, ‘ You don’t always have to make your case. Time will make it for you. I have committed myself to serving the people of india with all my strength and heart. Every rupee of my foundation is waiting for its turn to save every precious life and reach out to the needy. ‘
He further promised through his post to be there for the needy ones ‘at the same time, on many occasions, I have encouraged brands to donate their endorsement fees for humanitarian reasons, which helps us move forward. I was busy serving some guests so I couldn’t come to your service for the last 4 days. now I am back again with all humility for your service all my life. My journey is on. Jai hind”
Finally, he has also written in Hindi about ‘karma’ but quoted ‘kar’ which also means tax.
