New Delhi, 14th May 2021: The third wave of Covid-19 has reached its peak in the states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh.

But now the soaring cases of Covid infection are slowly coming down. The number of infected patients is declining. However, in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, the peak of the corona is yet to come. Therefore vigilance is necessary.

The highest risk is in Kerala, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Telangana, where a Covid infection rate is fluctuating.

IIT Prof Mahendra Kumar Verma has developed a SIR (The Susceptible Infected Resistant) model based on the daily case of the second wave of corona infection. Based on this, the number of cases increasing and decreasing can be assessed.

He has prepared a separate report for each state in his report, Verma has also assessed TPR (100 tests on a number of positive cases) and CFR (100 cases on the percentage of death) according to the state. According to the report, both TPR and CFR are higher in Delhi. He has prepared and sent the report to the Ministry of Health on the basis of May 8.
