Mumbai, 26th November 2023: CSK has officially confirmed that MS Dhoni will be participating in IPL 2024. The lists of retained and released players for all 10 IPL teams were disclosed today. Enthusiastic T20 cricket fans are eagerly anticipating the upcoming Indian Premier League. Simultaneously, all 10 IPL teams announced the lists of retained and released players today. A comprehensive auction, featuring over 500 players, including both those released and new additions, is set to take place soon. Subsequently, all the teams will gear up for the IPL 2024 season.

 

However, the revelation of players retained by Gujarat Titans has surprised many. Recent reports had suggested that Hardik Pandya would be playing for Mumbai Indians, with speculation that Gujarat Titans would release him from their team. In a dramatic turn of events, Gujarat Titans retained Hardik at 5 pm and later engaged in a trade with Mumbai Indians at 7 pm.

 

Here’s the full list of players retained, released and traded by all the 10 franchises:

 

1) Gujarat Titans have finalized their retained and released players for the upcoming season. The retained players include David Miller, Shubman Gill, Rashid Khan, Rahul Tewatia, Mohammed Shami, Noor Ahmad, Sai Kishore, Matthew Wade, Wriddhiman Saha, Kane Williamson, Abhinav Manohar, B Sai Sudharsan, Darshan Nalkande, Vijay Shankar, Jayant Yadav, Joshua Little, and Mohit Sharma.

On the other hand, the players released by Gujarat Titans are Yash Dayal, KS Bharat, Odean Smith, Alzarri Joseph, Shivam Mavi, Urvil Patel, Pradeep Sangwan, and Dasun Shanaka.

In a notable trade move, Gujarat Titans exchanged Hardik Pandya with Mumbai Indians, a decision that has attracted attention and speculation in recent days.

 

2) Chennai Super Kings have finalized their list of retained and released players for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League.

Retained players include MS Dhoni (captain & wicketkeeper), Ravindra Jadeja, Ajay Mandal, Mukesh Choudhary, Matheesha Pathirana, Ajinkya Rahane, Moeen Ali, Deepak Chahar, Devon Conway (wicketkeeper), Tushar Deshpande, Shivam Dube, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Sheikh Rasheed, Maheesh Theekshana, Mitchell Santner, Simarjeet Singh, Nishant Sindhu, and Prashant Solanki.

3) Lucknow SuperGiants have made decisions regarding their retained and released players for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. The retained players include KL Rahul (captain), Quinton de Kock, Nicholas Pooran, Arpit Guleria, Suryansh Shedge, Karun Nair, Ayush Badoni, Kyle Mayers, Marcus Stoinis, Deepak Hooda, Prerak Mankad, Yash Thakur, Amit Mishra, Mark Wood, Mayank Yadav, and Mohsin Khan.

Players released by the team are Jaydev Unadkat, Arpit Guleria, Suryansh Shedge, Karun Nair, Daniel Sams, Manan Vohra, Swapnil Singh, and Karan Sharma.

In a notable trade, Lucknow SuperGiants have acquired Devdutt Padikkal from Rajasthan Royals.

 

4) Royal Challengers Bangalore has announced its list of retained, released, and traded players for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League.

Retained players include Faf du Plessis (captain), Glenn Maxwell, Virat Kohli, Will Jacks, Mahipal Lomror, Karn Sharma, Manoj Bhandage, Vyshak Vijaykumar, Rajat Patidar, Anuj Rawat, Dinesh Karthik, Suyash Prabhudessai, Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj, Reece Topley, Himanshu Sharma, and Rajan Kumar.

10) Sunrisers Hyderabad has disclosed their list of retained, released, and traded players for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League.

In a trade move, Sunrisers Hyderabad has acquired Shahbaz Ahmed from Royal Challengers Bangalore.
