Pune, 23rd June 2025: In a major step toward digital transformation, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has launched a fully paperless portal to manage all examination and assessment-related services. The newly developed platform, grievance.unipune.ac.in, was officially rolled out on June 23 and is now functional for all affiliated colleges and departments.

The initiative marks a significant shift in how students and academic institutions interact with the university’s Examination and Evaluation Department. Services such as transcripts, degree certificates, and mark sheets—which previously required both online and offline processes—will now be handled entirely online.

Until now, students were required to apply online and then submit physical copies of their applications at the university’s student facilitation center, causing unnecessary delays. The new portal eliminates this step, making the process quicker, more efficient, and accessible from anywhere.

“The Scrutiny and Tabulation Unit is now completely paperless,” confirmed Dr. Prabhakar Desai, Director of the Examination and Evaluation Department. “Students, affiliated colleges, and university departments can now submit all exam-related requests and documents digitally through the new portal.”

The platform will also allow for real-time updates and facilitate the resolution of post-result discrepancies. Cases that can be resolved at the scrutiny level will be addressed directly through the portal, while more complex issues will be forwarded to appropriate university boards or committees for review.

Queries and complaints related to exam results will also be submitted via the website. Additionally, the platform will serve as a scheduling hub for related meetings, helping faculty and staff manage examination processes more effectively.

Academic Council Member Rahul Pakhare welcomed the change, calling it a “crucial move toward improving efficiency and transparency in academic administration.” The university has already digitized many of its exam department functions, and this latest step ensures that virtually all services are now accessible online.

The university has urged immediate implementation of the new system across all affiliated colleges and departments. Officials believe this will significantly reduce paperwork, administrative overhead, and time spent by students and educators alike.
