Stragtic alliance for a leap towards Excellence MIT- ADT University signs MoU with Tech Mahindra
Pune, 10 August, 2020: MIT-ADT University announced a new agreement with Indian software services firm Tech Mahindra to collaborate across various sectors, including space, Agri & Health technology services. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Tech Mahindra and MIT ADT University at a MIT-ADTU campus on 7th august 2020.
The university has collaborated with Tech Mahindra to execute missions in the areas of space, Agri tech, health tech & technology frontiers. Under the MoU, students from the university will be sharing Technology & Innovation platforms related to space and Agri Tech Mahindra projects.
The objective of this MoU are to promote interaction between maker’s lab of Tech Mahindra and MIT–ADT University in mutually beneficial areas of upcoming technologies identified and consented by both parties. MIT ADTU will be responsible for providing the next generation students, those will create huge impact at society at large.
Nikhil Malhotra, Global Innovation Head at Tech Mahindra, said key areas of MoU would cover includes tech transformation projects and creating connected experiences for using space, agri & health technology as well as research into upcoming areas. “By plugging into research and tech talent at MIT ADT University, we can share resources and skills to improve the standard of research we undertake,” Malhotra said.
“We can offer MIT ADT University a window into the commercial tech world looking at areas such as Space, Agri & health technology. We can help students and faculty understand how technology can be used to improve customer experience when they interact online with businesses in key sectors such as space, Agri, health services,” said Malhotra.
Prof, Dr, Mangesh Karad, Executive President & Vice-Chancellor of MIT ADT University, said “The MoU reflects the key goal for the organisation, which is to work closely with industry to develop the curriculum and ensure that graduates are job ready when they pass out from the university. We will also be looking at research and other collaboration opportunities. We have skills and expertise that can be shared to benefit both parties and society as whole. My vision is to see that the society achieve technological excellence in the field of agriculture, rural & health areas. I’m excited to see what this partnership will bring in the coming years,” he said.
Dr. Rahul More said, our collaboration with the Tech Mahindra, Pune, we aim to co-create smart solutions for the future by leveraging next-generation technologies like Space, agri & health Technology. The Atal incubation centre (AIC) will help tap the immense potential of the students to address the evolving technology needs of local industries, besides significantly improving their skills and future employability. It will also help in fostering a culture of innovation to deliver a superior experience to our customers globally.
