Students of RSCOE come up with a unique electric bicycle

Pune 10 July 2019 : Nikhil Inamdar and Kunal More , final year  mechanical engineering  students of JSPM’s Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering ( RSCOE ) Tathawade under the guidance of Prof. Nitin Jadhav have come up with a unique electric bicycle .

 

HoD of Mechanical Engineering Department Prof. Avinash Badade said that the bicycle has been prepared using 24 volt battery , and with one charge enables the bicycle to travel 18-20 km. The dynamos make sure that the energy generated by wheels also charges the cycle informed . Although the cost of producing the bicycle comes to around  Rs 10,000 , with mass production the cost can come down to somewhere between 7000-8000 Rs. The bicycle is an ideal option for travel as it is environment friendly, cost effective and also a good option for exercise.

 

Acknowledging the creativity and application of engineering knowledge by students , Dr. Tanaji Sawant, Founder Secretary JSPM, Principal R. K Jain , Vice Principal Avinash Devasthali , Prof. Ravi Sawant and Prof. Sudhir Bhilare congratulated the students .
