Students of Sinhgad College of Engineering win 3 awards at Constro 2018

Pune, India, January 23, 2018: Another feather in the cap for Sinhgad College of Engineering (SCOE), part of Sinhgad Institutes, as students from the college won numerous honours at the recently concluded Padmashree B.G Shirke Vidyarthi Competition, held on the sidelines of Constro 2018.

The competition for the students started in August and saw participation from 300 students from across Maharashtra. In all, students competed in 4 categories – Architecture (Under Graduate & Post Graduate) and Civil Engineering (Under Graduate & Post Graduate). Out of the 10 finalists, the participating students from Sinhgad Institutes bagged the 1st & 3rd place in the Under Graduate – Civil Engineering category and 1st place in the Post Graduate – Civil Engineering category.

Commenting on the students’ achievement, Mr. Rohit Navale, VP of Sinhgad Institutes said, “This is a remarkable effort by the students and we are very proud of their achievement. At Sinhgad Institutes, we strive to nurture and develop the inherent talent of our students and this result further reaffirms of our philosophy and approach towards education and encouraging growth of our students.”

Padmashree B.G Shirke Vidyarthi Competition is organized by Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation (PCERF) in association with ABEC Exhibitions & Conferences Pvt. Ltd at the Constro International Fair which is in its 15th edition. The competition aims at encouraging the talent and potential of the students in civil engineering and architectural education. It endeavors to motivate students across various facets of construction practices to develop research culture as well as inculcate the research aptitude in budding engineers.
