Surat Man Goes Missing After Disappearance at Pune Railway Station; Complaint Registered

Pune, May 27, 2026: A 47-year-old man from Surat has been reported missing after he allegedly disappeared from Pune Railway Station earlier this month while returning home with friends after completing catering work in the city.
According to a missing person complaint registered at , the missing man has been identified as Pandit Sitaram More, a resident of Surat, Gujarat. The complaint was officially registered on May 27, 2026, under Registration No. 0028/2026.
As per the complaint filed by his wife, Rina Pandit More, he went missing from Pune Railway Station on May 15, 2026, at around 7 pm.
Family members said More had tr
avelled to Pune with a group of friends for catering-related work. After completing the assignment, the group gathered at Pune Railway Station to board a train back to Surat.
According to the complaint, one of the friends had briefly gone towards the ticket counter with a child while More remained near the station premises. When the group returned, he was nowhere to be found.
The family and accompanying friends reportedly searched the railway station and nearby areas but failed to trace him. After waiting for several hours, the group later returned to Surat without him.
The complaint further states that More was not carrying a mobile phone at the time, as his phone had reportedly been damaged and left at home. Family members also said he had no known mental health issues, though they mentioned he had struggled with alcohol addiction in the past.
After receiving no information about his whereabouts, the family later returned to Pune and searched several locations where locals claimed to have seen a man resembling him. However, no confirmed trace has been found so far.
Police records describe Pandit More as around 47 years old, with a wheatish complexion, medium build, and a height between 152 cm and 154 cm.
