Teachers’ Day Celebration @ MARATHWADA MITRA MANDAL’S COLLEGE OF COMMERCE
Late Hon. President of India Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishanan’s birthday was celebrated as teacher’s day in MMCC, Pune on Saturday, 05th Sept. 2015. The enthusiasm of students, their love and respect for their teachers was very evident from various activities which they had conducted on that auspicious day. The way in which the program was conducted revealed the pains and preparations the students took for weeks before the program.
The real treat to the teachers was to feel proud about the very fact that their own students turn out to the best teachers. Twelve students took privilege to participate in teaching assignment. Mr. Rohit Raut, Mr. Sagar Dodeja and Mr. Pranav were awarded with the best teacher award for First Year, Second Year, and Third Year Commerce respectively.
The students of MMCC (Ms. Sharayu Gawde, Ms. Ruchi Bhave, Mr. Siddharth Kapadnis and Mr. Sparsh Agrawal) have organized various cultural programs for the teachers. This program was commenced with lighting of the divine lamp and Saraswati Pooja. It was followed by great Musical Jugalbandi, having the participation of the students, who played Guitar, Drums, Tasha and Percution. The letter which included the thoughts of Late Presidents of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishanan enriched the thinking process of teachers and students.
The dramas both, Pre- School and History Class were accompanied by a college life poem which brilliantly conveyed the steps taken by teachers to make seemingly difficult topics real cake walk for the students. Also both the dance performances showcased the students’ love and affection for the teachers, wherein they tried to convey the role of teacher’s at different stages of life from Pre-School to Corporate World, encompassing various milestones of their life. It was so thoughtful of the students to give the teachers the opportunity to participate in a game especially designed to bring out all the glorious journey of MMCC till date. Post to these performances all the teachers were felicitated and lovely handmade memento were given as precious token of students love and devotion for their teachers.
