Three students drown in Mulshi dam, Pune
Pune, May 2, 2019 : In a tragic incident, three MBA students drowned in the Mulshi dam on Thursday morning. Their bodies have been fished out by the PMRDA Fire Brigade and local residents.
According to police, the deceased students have been identified as Sangita Negi (22), native of Delhi, who lived in Kothrud; Shubham Raj Sinha (22) of Patna, Bihar and Shiv Kumar (22) of Uttar Pradesh.
The incident took place in Vadne village of Mulshi. The MBA students of Bharati Vidyapeeth had gone for picnic on Wednesday. They stayed at a nearby resort. On Thursday, some of them entered the backwaters of the dam for swimming. They could not gauge the depth and drowned.
The local residents took out body of Sangita, while the bodies of the youths were taken out by the Fire Brigade of PMRDA.
