Three Talathis Caught Taking Bribes for Pune Ring Road Land Records
Pune, 27th September 2025: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has taken action against three women Talathis in Haveli taluka for allegedly demanding bribes to provide attested copies of the 7/12 and 8-a sections of land acquired for the proposed ring road near Pune. A case has been registered at Khadak police station, Pune city police.
The accused persons have been identified as Sangrun Talathi Prerna Baban Pardhi (30), a resident of Pashan; Bahuli Talathi Deepali Dilip Pasalkar (29), a resident of Kondhwa; Khadakwadi Kudje Talathi Sharadadevi Purushottam Patil (48), a resident of Manjari Budruk, Pune.
According to ACB, a 42-year-old businessman, involved in buying and selling land, had filed a complaint with the Anti-Corruption Bureau after being asked for bribes while seeking attested copies of the land records for villages including Sangrul, Bahuli, Khadakwadi, and Kudje.
Following a probe, it was confirmed that the Talathis had accepted bribes of Rs 12,400, Rs 6,500, and Rs 1,500, respectively.
The operation was carried out by Police Inspector Shailaja Shinde and her team under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Shirish Sardeshpande, Additional Superintendent of Police Ajit Patil, and Arjun Bhosale. Further investigation is ongoing under Police Inspector Khanderao Ranjve.
