To Decongest Pune-Ahmednagar Road, PMC Plans New Link Road Between Wagholi And Lohegaon
Pune, 20th November 2022: To relieve the congestion on Ahmednagar road, the local officials have proposed an eight km concrete road link between Wagholi and Lohegaon, connecting the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) via Charholi, at an estimated cost of Rs 212 crore.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the proposed connecting route will serve as a detour for motorists heading from Ahmednagar Road to the Pimpri Chinchwad neighbourhoods and beyond to Mumbai.
PCMC is building a road within its boundaries, according to the officials, with certain parts up until Charholi and Spine Road already finished.
