To Mark 75 Years Of Independence, Anandvan Foundation Plants 750 Saplings In Pune

Pune, 16th August 2022: As part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Anandvan Foundation celebrated the occasion of the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence Day by planting 750 trees as a tribute to the tricolour.

Anandvan Foundation organized an afforestation drive to plant 750 saplings of 75 native tree species at Anandvan 3, NIBM Road.

 

On the occasion, Praveen Kumar Anand, President of Anandvan Foundation called the citizens, students, authorities and corporates of Pune to join the Urban Forest Movement. He also called for a resolution to make Pune the world’s first ‘City of Urban Forests’.

 

The plantation drive was attended by N.R Praveen, IFS, CCF Pune, Ashutosh Shendge, ACF, Mukesh Sanas, RFO, Brigadier V. P Patil, Corporator Nanda Tai Lonkar, Krishnan Komandur, CEO APCCI, Green Fitness ambassador Zareen Siddique.

 

Hundreds of students and residents joined the drive and planted the saplings.
