Too Much Noise During Pune Ganpati Visarjan? Save These Local Police Contact Numbers

Pune, 24th September 2026: Residents troubled by excessive noise during Ganpati immersion processions can contact a designated officer at their local police station, according to a public notice issued by Pune City Police.

The notice lists 44 police stations within the Pune City Police Commissionerate and provides mobile numbers for officers assigned to receive noise-pollution complaints. The police say the appointments are intended to help them act on complaints under the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000.

The message asks residents to approach the officer responsible for their area rather than leave a complaint unreported. It also appeals to procession participants to avoid unnecessary loud noise, celebrate responsibly and cooperate in controlling noise pollution.

For an immediate police response, residents can also call 112 or 100, the control-room numbers published on the Pune City Police website. (punepolice.gov.in)
