Solapur, December 21, 2033: Top seeded Maria Timofeeva of Russia and fifth seeded and local Hope Rutuja Bhosale were knocked out of the $25000 Precision Solapur Open Womens ITF Tennis Tournament which is being organized by Solapur District Lawn Tennis Association(SDLTA) in association with MSLTA and played MSLTA Tennis Center, Solapur

In the second round Japanese Hiromi Abe upset the 133 ranked and the top ranked Russian Maria Timofeeva 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 , in another thrilling encounter unseeded Russian Daria Kudashova came back from 4-5 down to upset local favourite and fifth seed Rutuja Bhosale 4-6, 6-4, 7-6(1)

Seventh seed Sahaja Yamlapalli and eighth seeded Vaidehi Chaudari were the only Indians to make the quarter finals , In an all Indian match Sahaja Yamalapalli ended the challenge of wildcard Madhurima Sawant winning 6-3, 6-0 while Chaudhari led Polish Weronika Baszak 6-2, 2-0 before the Pole conceded her match

Second seeded Ekaterina Makarova of Russia rallied past Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamidipaty 6-3, 6-4; while third seed
