Tourist attractions in Lonavala closed for tourists on Saturday, Sunday
Lonavala : Due to heavy rains in Lonavala, the district administration has taken a decision to ban movement of people at major tourist attraction in popular hill station of Lonavala.
Officials from Pune rural police said that landslides and floods may cause loss of life, hence Bhushi dam, Tiger point, Lion’s point, Lohgad fort, Bhaje and Karla caves will be out of bound for tourists on Saturday and Sunday. Bhushi dam is 100 percent full so water is being released at high speed.
On weekends thousands of tourists from Pune and Mumbai flock to Lonavala to enjoy the scenic beauty there.
