TractorNext Agri-Tech Platform Launched in Pune to Help Farmers Make Informed Equipment Choices
Pune, 29th October 2026: TractorNext, a digital platform focused on agricultural mechanisation and rural equipment, was launched at an industry gathering in Pune by G. S. Grewal, President of the Tractor and Mechanization Association (TMA) and a veteran of the agricultural machinery industry.
The platform aims to help farmers, rural entrepreneurs and equipment buyers access product information, compare available options and make informed purchasing decisions.
With agricultural mechanisation expanding, buyers increasingly need to assess machinery based on their operational requirements, performance, technology, running costs and long-term value. TractorNext seeks to address these needs through a common digital platform offering equipment-related information and access to relevant expertise.
Speaking at the launch, Grewal said that improving awareness, access to technology and informed equipment selection would be important to advancing agricultural mechanisation in India.
He noted that although farmers have access to a growing range of machinery and technologies, identifying equipment suited to their specific requirements remains a challenge. Digital platforms that simplify product comparisons and provide reliable information could help farmers improve productivity, operational efficiency and profitability, he added.
TractorNext also plans to help original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and equipment suppliers expand their digital presence and reach potential customers in regional markets. Its proposed approach combines product discovery, regional-language communication and market engagement to connect buyers with manufacturers.
Vishnu Dhas, Founder and CEO of TractorNext, said the platform was developed to simplify equipment selection for India’s agricultural and rural communities.
He said purchasing equipment such as agricultural drones, tractors, farm implements, bulldozers and specialised machinery often involves a substantial financial commitment. The platform aims to provide information that helps buyers evaluate alternatives and identify products suited to their needs, while enabling manufacturers to engage more effectively with customers across different regions.
The launch event was attended by representatives from the agricultural machinery industry, equipment distribution, agricultural technology and related sectors.
The gathering also featured the presentation of Leader as a Coach, a book authored by Grewal. Drawing on his leadership experience, the book examines coaching, employee empowerment and continuous learning as approaches to developing people and strengthening organisations.
