Traffic Alert: Mumbai-Pune Expressway To Remain Closed For 2 Hours Today For Gantry Setup
Pune/Mumbai: The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has announced a planned two-hour traffic block on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway on Thursday, November 2.
The MSRDC’s contractor will be conducting the installation of a gantry under the Highway Traffic Management System at Somatne on the routes heading towards Pune. The traffic block is scheduled from 12 noon to 2 pm. Consequently, there will be a complete closure of traffic from Mumbai towards Pune during this period on this stretch.
Additionally, traffic going from Mumbai to Pune will be redirected to Pune via National Highway No. 4 through Kusgaon on the Pune route. Light vehicles will be diverted from the Urse toll booth, using Chakan Lane and Urse Khind Vadgaon Phata, to Pune via National Highway No. 4.
Normal traffic flow from Mumbai to Pune is expected to resume after the completion of the gantry installation, i.e., after 2 pm.
Commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly, considering the temporary disruption caused by the essential infrastructure upgrade.
