Traffic Diversion At Pune University Chowk From Today
Pune, 23rd December 2021: A traffic diversion plan has been put in place from today at Pune University Chowk for the smooth movement of vehicles.
The earlier flyover has been demolished and an integrated project to construct a double-storeyed-flyover, grade separator and underpass is going on for the Pune Metro corridor from Hinjawadi to Shivajinagar.
DCP (Traffic Branch) Rahul Shrirame has issued an order for diversion from December 23 (Thursday) till further order:
1. One way from Pune University Chowk, Pashan Road, Pune Rural SP Office, Abhimanshree Pashan Chowk, Abhimanshree Baner Chowk, Baner Road, Sakal Nagar and again back to University Chowk. Vehicles from Shivaji Nagar to Pashan and Baner have to take the same route for travelling to Shivaji Nagar from Pashan and Baner.
2. Road to Bhosle Nagar from Ganeshkhind Road (next to Cosmos Bank) has been made one way. The vehicles from Bhosle Nagar to GaneshKhind Road have to take the Range Hills Road.
3. ‘No halting’ and ‘No Parking’ rules will be enforced on the one way roads. Same rule on both sides of the road from the Rajiv Gandhi Bridge Aundh to University Chowk.
4. Heavy vehicles will be prohibited on the route from Abhimanshree Baner Chowk to Saykar Chowk between 7 am to 11 pm.
