Pune, 4th February 2026: Traffic on the Alandi–Pandharpur Palkhi Highway between Hadapsar and Dive Ghat will remain completely closed for three hours on Wednesday, February 5, due to blasting work for road widening at Dive Ghat, the Pune Traffic Police said on Tuesday.

According to a traffic advisory issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic Branch) Himmat Jadhav, the closure will be in effect from 11 am to 2 pm. The work is being carried out as part of the ongoing road expansion project in the ghat section, which requires controlled blasting.

“The Hadapsar to Dive Ghat stretch on the Alandi–Pandharpur Palkhi Highway will be fully closed for traffic during the blasting operation. Citizens and motorists are requested to use alternative routes during this period,” the advisory stated.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has appealed to commuters to cooperate and plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience. Police officials have also urged drivers to follow traffic instructions and signboards placed along diversion routes.

The Pune Traffic Police have asked residents to stay updated and avoid the affected route during the specified hours to ensure safety and smooth conduct of the operation.
