Traveling for Holi? Six Special Trains Announced Between Pune and Danapur
Pune, 28th February 2026: To manage the anticipated surge in passenger traffic during the Holi travel period, Central Railway will operate six special train services between Pune and Danapur on a temporary basis.
According to the official schedule, Train No. 01479 Pune–Danapur Special will depart from Pune on March 1, March 5 and March 9, 2026 at 19:55 hrs and is scheduled to arrive at Danapur at 08:00 hrs on the third day. In the return direction, Train No. 01480 Danapur–Pune Special will depart Danapur on March 3, March 7 and March 11, 2026 at 10:00 hrs and will reach Pune at 18:15 hrs the following day.
The trains will halt at Daund Chord Cabin, Ahilyanagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Madan Mahal, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar and Ara en route.
The composition of the Pune–Danapur specials will include one AC First Class coach, one AC 2-Tier, one AC 3-Tier, eleven Sleeper Class coaches, five General Second Class coaches and two General Second Class cum Guard’s Brake Vans.
Bookings for Train No. 01479 are currently open at computerized reservation centres and through the official portal of IRCTC. Bookings for unreserved coaches can be made via the UTS system. Passengers can also use the RailOne application for ticket booking and refer to the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or the official enquiry website for detailed halt timings and operational updates.
