Twitter Responds To Elon Musk’s Offer To Buy It For 43.4 Billion Dollars

New Delhi, 14th April 2022: Elon Musk, the richest man in the world and CEO of Tesla, has made a big offer to buy the microblogging site Twitter. Twitter Inc. responded to the 43.4 billion dollar offer on Thursday.
Musk is currently Twitter’s largest single shareholder. He owns about 9 per cent stake in the company. Now Musk wants to buy the rest of Twitter and acquire ownership.
Twitter’s board said Thursday it would consider Elon Musk’s proposal. It also confirmed that it had received an offer from Musk to buy the company for 43.4 billion dollars.
Twitter said the company’s board of directors would carefully evaluate the proposal. In the interest of all shareholders, take the best possible steps.
Twitter reported on Thursday that Musk had offered to buy the remaining shares of the company at 54.20 dollars per share. At this price, the total amount would be about 43 43 billion dollars.
Musk, who owns companies like Tesla and SpaceX, called it the last and best offer. “If this offer is not accepted, I will reconsider my position as a shareholder,” Musk said.
Twitter’s stock has risen sharply since Musk’s investment was announced. Twitter has gained 18.5 per cent since the beginning of this month.
