Two Children Drown In Watery Mine In Village In Baramati Taluka

Pune, 29th May 2021: Due to the quarrel between husband and wife, the wife jumped into a nearby well. Their two children jumped after her. The wife was saved by the husband but the children drowned as they could not be saved in time. The unfortunate incident took place in Pimpli in Baramati taluka of Pune District.
According to police, Atul Suryavanshi and Anjali Suryavanshi had a serious fight. As a result, Anjali went towards a nearby mine that had water; after she jumped, both the children Divya (4) and Shourya (2) also jumped into the mine.
Atul went after his wife and jumped into the mine as well. He was able to save Anjali, however, the children drowned as the father could not reach them in time. The police have registered an accidental death report in this regard. After the unfortunate incident, the bodies of children were brought to Silver Jubilee Hospital for post-mortem.
