Pune, 9th June 2022: Both a man and a woman who worked as constables for the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and were stationed at the Pune International Airport were found dead at their residences in Gurudwara Colony in Pune’s Lohegaon neighbourhood.

The deceased have been identified as Asmita Das (30), a native of Odisha and Sanjay Kumar (30) a native of Uttar Pradesh.
According to the authorities, Das and Kumar were CISF constables who were stationed at the airport and were currently living in Pune.
Das’ family members contacted the police after she did not receive phone calls from her friend, and a team rushed to her home on June 6 and forced open the door, finding her dead.
Similarly, the cops busted down Kumar’s door after obtaining information from neighbours and discovered him dead the same day.
The Vimantal police station has lodged a case of accidental death. Despite suspicions from police that the two deaths were caused by suicide, an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of death.
“No suicide note was found,” said Senior Police Inspector Bharat Jadhav of the Vimantal police station.
He added, “They were housed in separate buildings. The cause of their deaths is being investigated.”
