One more Corona patient found in Pune, total 42 in Maharashtra now

Pune, March 18,2020: One more person has been detected Coronavirus positive in Pune. With this the total number has increased to 18 in Pune district, while in the state the number has reached 42.

Officials said that the 28 year old woman had returned from France on March 14. She has been now found positive with Coronavirus.

Yesterday a 64 year old person, who was undergoing treatment at the Kasturba Hospital in Mumbai, died.

The deceased person had returned from Dubai on 5th March with complaints of hypertension. He was referred to the Hinduja hospital for further treatment. Meanwhile, two more Corona infected patients were found in the state. One from Mumbai who is a 49 year old man and returned from America, whereas the second has been admitted at the Bhosari Hospital in Pimpri Chinchwad municipal corporation jurisdiction. He is 26 years old youth who arrived in India from America.

The details of Corona patients district wise and Municipal Corporation wise in the state are as follows:-

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation-10, Pune Municipal corporation-8, Nagpur04, Yavatmal, Navi Mumbai and Kalyan -three each, Raigadh, Thane, Ahmednagar and Aurangabad- one each. This makes a total of 42.

A total of 105 new suspected patients were admitted to various hospitals in the state on March 17. Till date, 1169 travelers have arrived in the state from the Corona hit areas. 900 people were admitted to various isolated wards in the state since 18th January following the symptoms of fever, cold and cough. Out of these, 779 were found to be negative in the reports of National Institute of virology, Pune and 42 are found positive.

Out of the 1169 travellers coming to Maharashtra, the 14 day follow up of 442 had been completed. Meanwhile a team of experts from the New Delhi Institute National Centre for Disease Control visited Pune yesterday and today for taking a stock of situation in the wake of Corona.
