Two Seeds Bite The Dust At The MSLTA ITF Seniors S100 Tennis Tournament

Mumbai, 13th October 2021: Local players Dashrath Salvi and Ramzan Shaikh scored upset wins over second seeds Bulbul Das and Rupjit Bharali at the MSLTA ITF Seniors S100 Tennis Tournament organized by Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association(MSLTA) Under the auspices of ITF and AITA and to be played at Dr G.A.Ranade Tennis Centre, Mumbai

In the 45 plus quarter-finals, Local Player Dashrath Salvi blanked second-seeded Bulbul Das 6-0, 6-0 in the Men’s 35 Plus second round. Ramzan Shaikh outplayed second-seeded Rupjit Bharali 6-0, 6-0 to move into the quarter-finals.

In a close match, third-seeded Jigar Jetly went through a tough first set to get past Jitendra Shinde 7-6(4), 6-3. Top seeds Vishal Badri, Nitten Kirtane also moved to the next rounds with straight-set wins.
