Umesh Zirpe appointed as a member of Fort Preservation and Conservation Committee of state government

Pune, 02 July 2021: Government of Maharashtra’s Tourism and Culture Affairs Department has formed a committee for Fort Preservation and Conservation, chaired by hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Umesh Zirpe, veteran mountaineer and the member of Giripremi has been named as an appointed member of the newly formed committee.

Zirpe’s experience of over four decades in mountaineering, trekking, fort conservation and management skills of mountaineering will be helpful in the fort conservation work aimed by the state government. Interestingly, Zirpe has also been added as a member of the Think Tank for Empowerment of Democracy formed by the Principal Secretary and Chief Election Officer, Maharashtra State. It is an honor for the Giripremi organization as one of our members is named in the two committees that are adding values in public life.
