Unseasonal Rain: IMD Issues Yellow Warning For Pune City And District
Pune, 18th March 2023: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for rain in the Pune district/city today. The advisory warns of thundery activity, lightning, momentarily strong wind, very light to light rain, and a short period of moderate to intense rain spell.
IMD has also issued the following safety advisory for citizens:
Do not take shelter under trees during lightning.
Close windows and doors during periods of strong wind.
Avoid traveling during periods of strong wind or lightning.
Drive slowly and safely as visibility may reduce and roads may be slippery.
