Uttar Pradesh Schools To Remain Closed On January 22 For Historic Pran Pratishtha

Lucknow, 9th January 2024: The Uttar Pradesh government has declared a holiday for schools and colleges on January 22 in anticipation of the Pran Pratishtha program. Additionally, the sale of liquor will be prohibited on this day. These directives follow Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s recent visit to Ayodhya, where he reviewed various ongoing projects.

A significant event is scheduled in Ayodhya on January 22 – the grand Pran Pratishtha program for Ramlala. Dignitaries from across the globe are expected to be present in the city of Ram on this auspicious day. After the consecration by the Prime Minister, the temple will be opened for common devotees.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the closure of all educational institutions across the state on January 22. Simultaneously, liquor shops will remain closed in the entire state on the same day.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) clarified on Monday that the statue of Lord Ram will only tour the temple premises during the Pran Pratistha program. Acharya Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid, who determined the auspicious time for Pran Pratistha, made an unexpected visit to Ramnagari. He inspected the Ram Temple complex, the place of worship, and met with Champat Rai, General Secretary of Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Acharya Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid also interacted with the participating Acharyas and visited their residences.

Schedule of Pran Pratistha Puja

The schedule for the Pran Pratistha Puja has been clarified:
– January 16:Initiation of the worship process.
– January 17: Tour of the Srivigraha premises and purification of the sanctum sanctorum.
– January 18:Commencement of residence with water-dwelling, fragrance, and smell-dwelling at both morning and evening times.
– January 19:Morning rituals with fruit adhivas and grain adhivas.
– January 20:Morning rituals with flowers and gems, and evening rituals with ghee.
– January 21:Morning rituals with sugar, sweets, and honey adhivas, and evening rituals with medicine and bed adhivas.
– January 22:Midday removal of the blindfold from Ram Lalla’s idol, followed by showing him a mirror.
