‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ Brings Central Government Schemes to the Doorsteps of Pune Citizens

Pune, 26th December 2023: In an effort to bring the benefits of central government schemes directly to the citizens, the “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra” were organized today, at four strategic locations in Pune—Lohianagar, Ramoshi Gate, Vegetable Market Vadgaon Sheri, and Shivajiputla, Chandannagar. The initiative, carried out through a mobile theater van (IEC Mobile Theater Van) and informative stalls, aimed to disseminate information about various central government plans.

At Lohianagar and Ramoshi Gate, a total of 571 citizens directly availed benefits from schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Jan Arogya Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Gas Yojana, Health Checkup, Aadhaar Update, and more. Additionally, 1982 citizens were provided detailed information about these central government initiatives. Former Standing Committee Chairman Hemant Rasane and former corporator Manisha Ladkat graced the event with their presence.

In Vadgaon Sheri and Shivajiputla, Chandannagar, 1132 citizens directly benefited from similar schemes, while 2162 citizens were informed about the various central government initiatives. Former corporator Shital Shinde, Dnyaneshwar Shinde, and Sandeep Jarad were present during this impactful outreach. The citizens expressed their happiness at the accessibility of these schemes in their localities.

The following central government schemes were made available to the citizens:

1. Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana
2. Ayushman Bharat Jan Arogya Yojana
3. Pradhan Mantri Ujwala Gas Yojana
4. National Tuberculosis Eradication Programme
5. Aadhaar Update
6. Poor Welfare Food Security Scheme
7. Urban Poor Scheme of Pune Municipality
8. Free Health Checkup

The Yatra is set to visit the following locations in the next two days:

27 December 2023:
1. Kharadigaon – 10 AM to 1 PM
2. Joggers Park, Vimannagar – 3 PM to 6 PM
3. Near SPM School – 10.30 AM to 1.30 PM
4. Near Senadatta Police Chowky – 3 PM to 6 PM

28 December 2023:
1. CCD Chowk Vimannagar – 10 AM to 1 PM
2. Lohgaon Vegetable Market – 3 PM to 6 PM
3. Sant Gadagemaharaj Colony, Koregaon Park – 10.30 AM to 1.30 PM
4. Burning Ghat Colony – 3 PM to 6 PM

Nitin Udas, Deputy Commissioner, Social Development Department, Pune Municipal Corporation, appealed to the citizens to participate in the “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra” and make the most of the central government schemes.
