Vishwakarma University to Organise “Abhikalp 2026” Art and Design Exhibition

Pune, 30th April 2026: Vishwakarma University, Pune, has organised Abhikalp 2026, the annual Art and Design Exhibition of the Faculty of Art and Design, on May 2 and 3, 2026, at Kumar Pacific Mall, Pune. This marks the third edition of the exhibition, which showcases the creativity, innovation, and industry-oriented work of emerging designers.The exhibition will remain open for visitors from for both days.

The exhibition will be inaugurated in the presence of Chief Guest Yusuf Inamdar from J Kumar Defence & Aerospace Pvt. Ltd.

In today’s rapidly evolving world, design has become an integral part of everyday life, influencing products, services, systems, communication, and user experiences. From digital interfaces and product innovation to animation, multimedia, fashion, and visual communication, design plays a crucial role in solving real-world problems and driving innovation across industries.

Speaking about the exhibition, Prof. Prajakta Rokade, Dean, Faculty of Art and Design, Vishwakarma University, said, “Abhikalp 2026 serves as a platform for students to showcase their work, ideas, and creative processes to a wider audience. The exhibition features projects across visual communication, UX design, product design, animation and multimedia, and fashion technology. These works reflect a strong industry-oriented approach where creativity is supported by research, technology, and practical application.”

She further added that the exhibition provides students with opportunities to engage with industry professionals, practitioners, and the public, enabling them to gain valuable feedback, exposure, and insights into the professional design ecosystem.

Abhikalp 2026 aims to offer visitors a closer understanding of contemporary design education and how young designers are being trained to think critically, solve complex challenges, and create meaningful solutions for society and industry.

The exhibition is open to design enthusiasts, academicians, industry professionals, students, and the general public from 11 in morning to 7 in the evening.
