Vishweshwar Sahakari Bank Awarded by Maharashtra Cooperative Bank Federation: Targets Rs 5000 Crore Business

Pune, 18th October 2023: The Vishweshwar Sahakari Bank Ltd. is recognized for being at the forefront of providing a wide range of customer-oriented services. Honor of the ‘Best Bank Award’ was recently bestowed upon the Vishweshwar Sahakari Bank Ltd. by the Maharashtra Cooperative Bank Federation Limited, Mumbai in the category of deposit count of Rs 2500 crores for the year 2022-2023.

At a national conference of Delhi’s National Federation of Urban Co-operative Banks and Credit Societies Ltd. (NAFCUB), the Chairman of Vishweshwar Sahakari Bank Ltd., Anil Gadve got an opportunity to meet and felicitate the Union Home and Cooperation Minister, Amit Shah. Expert Director, Dr. Chintamani Vaijapurkar and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Shriram Apte, were also present on the occasion.

The Ichalkaranji branch of the Vishweshwar Sahakari Bank Ltd. was recently inaugurated. So far, the bank has achieved a total business of Rs 3,100 crore as of September 2023. The bank’s business has also increased by Rs 350 crore in comparison with that of the previous financial year. The bank has also announced a 10% dividend to its shareholders for the year 2022-2023. The Facebook and Instagram pages of the Vishweshwar Sahakari Bank Ltd. have also been launched. Anil Gadve, the Chairman of the Vishweshwar Sahakari Bank Ltd. is now aiming to open the bank’s new branch in Latur. He is also planning to take its total business up to Rs 5000 crore in the near future.

The Vishweshwar Sahakari Bank Ltd. has a total of 29 branches in the states of Maharashtra and Karnataka, including branches in Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Vashi, Pandharpur and Solapur.
