Water Levels In Pune Dams Are Now Higher Than Last Year; Water Storage Reaches 30%

Pune, 11th July 2022: The Khadakwasla dam project, which supplies water to the city of Pune, continues to receive good rains. As a result, water storage has reached 30 per cent. The catchment areas of all the four dams witnessed heavy rains from Saturday (July 9) night to Sunday (July 10) morning. The water levels at four dams that supply water to the city are now 0.7 TMC higher than last year.

From Sunday night to Monday (July 11) morning, 75 mm of rain has been recorded in the Temghar dam area, 74 mm in Varasgaon dam area, 85 mm in the Panshet dam area and 18 mm in the Khadakwasla dam area.

At present, the Khadakwasla dam chain project has accumulated 8.70 TMC or 29.85% of water storage.

The following is recorded water storage in all the four dams in the city:

1)Khadakwasala –
