WhatsApp Introduces AI Writing Assistant to Make Messaging Easier
New Delhi, 28th August 2025: WhatsApp has rolled out a new AI-powered writing assistant to help users compose messages more easily. The feature is designed to assist users who struggle to decide what to say or how to phrase messages effectively.
With this tool, users can draft messages in various tones—whether professional, humorous, or personal—within seconds. The AI generates multiple message suggestions, which users can either send directly or modify to suit their preference.
To use the feature, open a chat and type a message. A pencil icon will appear next to the text; tapping it activates the AI, which then suggests message options.
Currently, the feature is available only in English and for users in the United States. WhatsApp has stated that it will expand to other languages and regions later this year.
Privacy concerns often arise with AI tools, but WhatsApp has assured users that this feature uses private processing technology, meaning the AI works on messages locally without exposing them to anyone else.
This new feature is part of WhatsApp’s ongoing efforts to make messaging more intuitive and efficient for users worldwide.
