Woman from Wanawadi jumps to death from KEM Hospital building
Pune, June 22, 2020: A 36-years-old woman jumped off from 5th floor of KEM Hospital in Rasta Peth early morning today. Her 13-years-old son was admitted to the hospital yesterday.
Prima facie it is revealed that she was suffering from depression as her husband had passed away about 3 months ago due to cancer and her son is suffering from a kidney ailment and diabetes. The incident was reported at around 4:40 am. The woman jumped off from window of the ward where he son is admitted in KEM hospital. Their swab sample for COVID test was also taken and results are awaited.
The deceased has been identified as Seema Balani alias Yasna Mukesh Baksani, a resident of Wanawadi. Police have found a note wherein she has reportedly mentioned that nobody should be held responsible for her extreme step. Samarth police station, under whose jurisdiction the hospital is located, is further investigating the case.
