Women’s Day Cultural Event in Pune Highlights ‘Go Green’ Message

Pune, 10th March 2026: Marking International Women’s Day, Mithila Samaj Sanstha, Pune organised a cultural programme at Shangrila Hotel with the theme “Go Green,” promoting environmental awareness among participants.

As part of the initiative, plants were presented to women and guests attending the event to encourage tree plantation and environmental responsibility.

The programme was hosted by Jyoti Mishra. Musical and literary performances formed a key part of the event. Priti Mishra presented a song, while Bhawana Kumar and Reena Das performed self-written songs dedicated to Women’s Day. Prabha Rani recited a poem written by her.

A group performance of “Jai-Jai Bhairavi” was presented by Reena Das, Bhawana Kumar, Ruby Jha, Snigdha Jha and Alka.

The event was organised under the leadership of Sangeeta Chaudhary, president of Mithila Samaj Sanstha, Pune. The programme coordination was handled by Aparna Jha.

According to organisers, the event was supported by Nutan Thakur, Mamta Thakur, Aradhna Mishra, Nidhi Jha, Monalisa Jha, Kajal Chaudhary, Neetu Mishra, Priti Mishra, Ruby Jha, Tulsi Jha, Priti Jha, Soni Chaudhary and Savita Chaudhary.
