Work of women sportspersons is inspiring – Amruta Devendra Phadnavis

Pune, August 6:  Women have shown their mettle by proving themselves almost in every field, sports is probably on the top. Achievements of women athletes will surely act as the source of inspiration for other women who wish to excel in their career, opined Amruta Devendra Phadnavis after inaugurating the special section dedicated to women cricketers at Blades of Glory,  museum of cricket memorabilia set up by cricket enthusiast Rohan Pate.  The museum is located at Sahkar Nagar and houses the largest collection of cricket memorabilia of legendary cricketers.

This newly inaugurated wall dedicated to women cricketer at the museum currently has one day T Shirts of Indian One Day international players like Jhulan Goswami, Deepti Sharma, Ekta Bisht, Poonam Yadav, Rajashree Gaikwad and Jemimah Rodrigs.

“This museum is a classic example of how the passion can get transformed into something exceptional and constructive that can inspire others. This is a different world altogether”, said Phadnavis after visiting the museum.

After asking about her participation in the campaign for upcoming assembly polls, she said she has been campaigning for her husband in his constituency in the past and shall continue to do so. She also added that central government’s move to remove article 370 from the state of Jammu and Kashmir will prove to be a decisive step in solving this long pending issue.
