Pimpri Chinchwad, 31st January 2025: The Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate (PCPC) is investigating two separate incidents of violence allegedly triggered by workplace performance issues. One individual was assaulted in Dehu Road by a group due to his superior work, while another person was attacked in Talegaon Dabhade for the ‘serious crime’ of delegation.

In Dehu Road, Gorakh Ganpat Chavan, 34, was seriously injured in an attack by four individuals on Wednesday afternoon. According to the police, the assailants, identified as Atish Dighe, Shyam Parameswar Shinge, Vivek Rajendra Payale, and an unidentified person, allegedly attacked Chavan with a koyta and stones. The motive, as per the victim’s statement, was resentment over Chavan’s good performance at work.

In a separate incident in Talegaon on the same day, Navnath Baban Jadhav, 29, was severely beaten by four people, including a woman. The assault reportedly occurred after Jadhav delegated a toilet and bathroom construction job to other workers. The accused, including Malakesh Rudrappa Bhoir, 47, and Jitendra Malakesh Bhoir, 27, allegedly used belts, stones, and bricks in the attack, resulting in fractures to Jadhav’s hand.

Both cases have been registered at their respective police stations. The PCPC is conducting thorough investigations into these incidents, which highlight the need for better conflict resolution mechanisms in workplaces across the region.

While ‘appreciation of good work means more work,’ leading many to avoid going the extra mile, this particular ‘appreciation’ of good work by the people of Pune District has left everyone speechless.
