Shirur, 2nd April 2025: In a remarkable tale of friendship, dedication, and collective effort, three friends from Shirur taluka have achieved their dream of becoming judges through the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) examination. Advocates Shubham Karale, Sagar Nalkande, and Akshay Tathe have not only fulfilled their personal ambitions but also set an inspiring example for others in their community.

The trio hails from different villages within Shirur taluka—Shubham Karale from Shikrapur, Sagar Nalkande from Burunjwadi, and Akshay Tathe from Karegaon. After completing their LLB degrees at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), they pursued LLM degrees and gained valuable legal experience at Pune’s Courts. Their professional journey in criminal and civil law helped them develop the skills needed to excel in the judiciary.

Their success is attributed to their unique approach of collective preparation. Over four years of rigorous study, they limited distractions like mobile usage and shared knowledge gained through their individual experiences. While Shubham practiced criminal law at Pune District and Sessions Court, Sagar and Akshay focused on civil cases. This collaborative effort strengthened their understanding of the judicial system and prepared them for the challenges ahead.

Under the guidance of experienced legal mentor Advocate Ganesh Shirsat, they prepared for the MPSC First-Class Magistrate examination held in 2023. Their disciplined approach paid off as all three cleared both the preliminary and main exams with flying colors. Out of 114 candidates who succeeded in the interview stage, these three friends were among the selected candidates, marking a proud moment for Shirur taluka.

Now poised to serve as judges in various courts across Maharashtra, their achievement holds significant social importance. Their collective efforts symbolize hope for rejuvenating the judiciary and inspire young aspirants in legal professions.
