Satara, 11th July 2025: A 20-year-old youth sustained serious injuries after his car veered off the road and plunged into a deep ravine in Gujarwadi Ghat, within Mhavshi village limits, on the Patan-Sadawaghapur-Tarle road. There is a famous reverse waterfall which attracts a lot of tourists in the area.

The injured youth has been identified as Sahil Anil Jadhav, a resident of Kapil Goleshwar in Karhad taluka. The accident occurred near the Table Point area, a known sharp turn on the stretch leading to Sadawaghapur. According to preliminary information provided by police, Sahil lost control of the vehicle, causing it to fall from the hillside into the gorge below. His friends were out of the car at the time of the incident.

Timely response by nearby trainees of Kingmaker Academy, who were in the area for police recruitment training, helped avert a worse tragedy. Upon learning of the accident, Kingmaker Academy Director Vikas Sakpal and his team rushed to the site. Working alongside the police, they managed to safely retrieve Sahil from the ravine.

Patan Police Inspector Avinash Kavathekar, along with Constables Rajendra Mohite and Santosh Kuchekar, reached the scene shortly after being informed. The injured youth was rescued and immediately transported by ambulance to a private hospital in Karhad for urgent medical treatment.

“Sahil was in critical condition when we found him, but with the help of local trainees and swift coordination, we were able to move him to safety,” said Inspector Kavathekar. He added that an investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
