Delhi, 22nd February 2022: A new Live Ring feature has been introduced by the video streaming platform YouTube. This will be a red-colored ring, which will appear around a YouTube channel when a channel is streaming live.

During the lockdown period, the number of live streaming on YouTube has increased significantly. In this way, the live channel can be easily recognized during live streaming. For this, a red color live ring feature has been introduced by Youtube, exactly like Tiktok, which will create a ring around the channel’s profile. Some of these features have also been given in the Twitter space.

YouTube’s Chief Product Officer Neil Mohan tweeted that YouTube’s effort is to make it easier for users to find the live streaming channel at Youtube. For this, when YouTube creators are live streaming, a red circle will be created around their channel, on clicking on the profile; users will be directly connected to the live stream. A similar feature has also been given in Instagram in which a round ring is formed around the profile picture during live streaming.

Neil Mohan has announced that the company will invest more and more in short videos, live videos, and video on demand (VOD) in the year 2022. Along with this, the company will also work on the monetization option. He informed that “Live is a separate section, which has registered a lot of growth this year. Daily Live watch time has been increased three times in January 2020 and December 2021”.
