Kolhapur, 22nd February 2022: Bharatiya Janta Party’s Maharashtra state president Chandrakant Patil today said that the truth about Disha Salian’s death will come out in front of the people after 7th March. The issue came up when a journalist pointed out that the death of Disha Salian was being politicised.

Patil replied to this and said there was no politics involved. After March 7, all the evidence will come out and it will be clear about who all are involved in her death and the people involved will be sent to jail, he said while talking to the reporters in Kolhapur.

“Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) is completely anti-farmer. The government’s decision to cut the FRP of sugarcane in two is a huge loss to sugarcane farmers. There is a danger that farmers will give up sugarcane cultivation. The BJP will fight hard against this decision. MVA government has misused its power and police for politics. In Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, BJP workers are being arrested and taken to the police station to force them to join the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). In Pimpri Chinchwad, after Shiv Sena district chief Gajanan Chinchwade joined the BJP, his 1971 land case was reopened and he was severely harassed by the police. He eventually died of a heart attack. We will not tolerate this kind of use of police. We will fight against it”, he said.

When asked about the remarks made by Shiv Sena leader and Minister Aditya Thackeray on former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Patil said that the BJP formed the government in 2014. We would have run this government on our own for five years but it became impossible for Shiv Sena to stay out of power. Aditya Thackeray should not forget that he was following Devendra Fadnavis.”

Regarding the strike by the state transport (ST) workers, Patil said that the leaders of Mahavikas Aghadi wanted to take control of depots of strategic locations in various cities.
