23 citizens emigrated from Pakistan to India given Indian citizenship

Mumbai, 9/9/2019 : 23 minority citizens emigrated from Pakistan to India received Indian citizenship certification by the hands Minister of State for Home (Rural) Deepak Kesarkar and Minister of State for Home (Urban) Dr. Ranjit Patil, today.

 

The Central Government has given the State Government rights of conferring Indian citizenship to the citizens who belong to minority, used to live in Pakistan, but now emigrated to India. As per this decision, 23 citizens living in Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Amravati, and Kolhapur district were given the certificate of Indian citizenship in a programme held at Mantralaya today. Ex MLA Gurumukh Jagwani, Deputy Secretary Venkatesh Bhat, Deputy Secretary Yuvraj Ajetrao was present at the programme.

 

Demands were being made from last some years to give Indian citizenship to those emigrated from Pakistan to India. We are glad that this demand is being fulfilled on this occasion, expressed Shri. Kesarkar and Shri. Patil.
