‘Gaanatapaswini Mogubai Kurdikar Puraskar’ awarded to Pt. Sharad Sathe
Pune, February 5, 2019: A prestigious award in the field of music named as ‘Gaanatapaswini Mogubai Kurdikar Puraskar’ is awarded to Pt. Sharad Sathe, veteran Vocalist of Gwalior Gharana, while the ‘Gaanasaraswati Kishori Amonkar Sangatkar Puraskar’ is awarded to Raya Korgaonkar, Harmonium Player and Dayanidhesh Kosambe, Tabla Player for their contribution in the field of accompaniment.
The awards were given recently in the festival ‘Ganasaraswati’, a popular 3-day event dedicated to classical music. The event was organized by ‘Natyasampada Pratishthan’.
Nihar and Bibhas Amonkar, Sons of late Kishori Amonkar along with the Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar, renowned Vocalist and Organizer of the event andAparna Panshikar were present among the dignitaries.
In the same festival, Abhishek Borkar, Sarod Player is awarded with ‘Ganasaraswati Kishori Amonkar Yuva Puraskar’. Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar, Pt. Suresh Talwalkar, Ajit Belwalkar and Bibhas Amonkar were present among the dignitaries.
