Pune, January 24, 2020 : The National conference of Public Protection and Disaster Response Agencies and Heads of Communication States, UT and Central Para-Military Forces was called on 20th and 21st January 2020 by the Directorate of Coordination Police Wireless, New Delhi – under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.

From Maharashtra Police, Retesh Kumaarr, ADGP & Director, Police Wireless, Maharashtra State represented the State on the topic focusing technological advancement done by Maharashtra Police and challenges of up gradation of Human Resources Capital.

In this conference, the Maharashtra State Police had received two prestigious recognitions for -“Implementation of Innovative Ideas for Modernization of Communication and Best Encryption Methodologies in Police Information”.

These prestigious awards were felicitated in the hands of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, G. Kishan Reddy and Union Minister of State for Environment, Forest & Climate Change Babul Supriyo. On behalf of Maharashtra Police, Retesh Kumaarr, ADGP & Director, Police,Wireless, Maharashtra State received these prestigious awards from Govt. of India.

Maharashtra State is honored to receive these awards successively in the year 2019 and 2020. Over 75  percent of communication in Maharashtra State has been digitized and by December 2020, digitization work will be completed in entire Maharashtra State and it will be the first in the Country to do so.

Advanced technology based Sir. J.C. Bose E-Learning Centre and Digital Lab is functioning effectively for imparting training and Aryabhatt Open Museum has been set up in the Police Wireless HQs in Pune, representing the contribution in the field of Science, Technology and Communication by renowned Scientist. Dr. A.PJ. Abdul Kalam Innovation Hub containing 10 different Labs with various advance technologies and Integrated Training Complex as State of the Art e-learning Centre are underway.
