Vaachan Prerna Divas Celebrated at Abeda Inamdar Senior College of Arts, Science and Commerce

Abeda Inamdar Senior College of Arts, Science and Commerce celebrated Vaachan Prerna Divas on 15^th October, 2015 commemorating the birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. An advocate of learning, Dr. Kalam ignited the minds of young people across the country and inspired them to dream big. Vice Principal, Dr. Shaila Bootwala graced the occasion and commended the students and teachers for their efforts.

The language departments – English, Hindi, Urdu and Marathi in collaboration with the College Library Department made posters, wall magazines and PowerPoint presentations giving us a glimpse into the life of the great legend.

The Department of Library displayed a detailed account of Dr. Abdul Kalam’s life.

The wall magazine created by the Department of English showcased the inspiring and thought-provoking quotes of Indian’s great visionary.

The Library also provided the students with books by Dr. Kalam helping them connect with him at a deeper level.

The students also made posters recording his contributions and achievements in the field of science and technology especially aerospace.

Mrs. Rehana Shaikh, Librarian, Mrs. Shakila Mulla, Mrs. Ketaki Bhosale, Dr. Mukul Joshi and Mrs. Uzma Tasneem, Mrs. Mehjaben Shaikh, Mrs. Shaheen Patel and Ms. Jovia D’souza were also present on the occasion.
