1131 New COVID Patients Reported In Pune District Today
Pune, 6th July 2022: A total of 3142 new COVID cases were reported today in Maharashtra while 3974 patients got discharged from hospitals after recovery.
The new patients include 607 patients from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 283 from Pune rural and 281 from Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) area.
As on today, there are 19,981 active cases in Maharashtra including 5,600in Mumbai, 3384 in Thane and 5750 in Pune.
Today seven patients died of COVID19 complications in Maharashtra. At present, the case fatality rate is 1.85% in the state.

9 more patients of BA.4 and BA.5 in the state: –
As per the latest report from the B.J. Medical, Pune, 6 patients of BA.5 and 3 of BA.4 have been found in the state, all from Pune. Apart from these 10 cases of BA.2.75 also found in Pune.
All these samples were collected during the 21st June to 29th June 2022 period. All these cases are asymptomatic and recovered in home isolation. The total tally of BA.4 and BA.5 patients in the state has gone to 73. Their distribution: 24 in Pune, 34 in Mumbai, 4 each in Nagpur, Thane and Palghar and 3 in Raigad.
