1506 new COVID patients in Pune city, 1791 discharged today

Pune, Aug 1, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1791 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 1506 new patients were detected while 23 people died today. Today swab samples of 5863 people were collected for COVID tests.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 55761 out of which 36,914 have been cured while 1335 have died. There are still 17,512 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 638 critical patients out of which 389 are on ventilator support.

 

Across Maharashtra, 9601 fresh COVID19 cases were reported today while 10,725 people got discharged from hospitals today. Also, 322 deaths have been reported in the state today. The total number of positive cases is now 4,31,719 including 2,66,883 discharged and 15,316 deaths. There are 1,49,214 active cases. The recovery rate in Maharashtra is 60.82 % now.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 1,695,988 across the country. Out of this, 1,094,374 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 36,511 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 565,103 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
