2.97 Kg gold seized at Pune railway station

Pune, August 6, 2019 : Acting on confidential information, the Government Railway police (GRP) detained two men and seized 2.97 kg gold from their possession.

According to police, the suspected persons carried suspicious gold with them while traveling in train coming from Chennai. As they could not answer about receipt of the gold, hence the gold was seized as per CrPC 102 and the Income Tax department was informed about the about the gold ornaments. They are still unclaimed at income tax department.

The GRP team was led by Police Inspector Gaud.
