275 players for Truespace Pune District Age Group and Open Chess Tournament
Pune, December 24, 2021: A total 275 players in various age groups will be seen in action at the Truespace Pune District Age Group and Open Chess Tournament which will be organized by Pune District Chess Circle and played at Millenium National School, Karvenagar Pune from 25th to 26th December 2021.
The tournament will be held under the auspices of MCA. will offer total prize money of Rs.71,000/-. The event will be played under Swiss league format. The event will be played in the Under9,13,17 and open category. There are total 80 players in U-9 boys group, 18 players in the U-9 girls group, 92 players in U-13boys group, 22 players in U-13 girls group, 14 players in U-17 boys group, 8 players in U-17girls group, 34 players in Open group and 7 players in Women group.
The tournament will be inaugurated at the hands of Dr.Sanjay Karawade, Secretary of PDCC, Mr.Ashwin Trimal, MD of Truspace and GM Abhijit Kunte at 9am. Harshit Raja who recently became the 69th grandmaster from India will be felicitated by MCA and PDCC.
